Too late to enter the 2010 Stockholm Half Marathon




Interest in the Stockholm Half Marathon is greater than ever. Entries from a record number of 13,513 runners have been accepted for the 10th edition of the race.


The maximum number of entries (13,500) was reached by 16 August and the registration was closed.


The interest in Stockholm Half Marathon has increased during the last couple of years. 5,986 runners entered 2006, 7,054 entered 2007, 9,329 in 2008 and 11,136 last year.8,998 male and 4,515 female runners have entered in this years race. This means that 33 per cent of the runners are women – the highest figure ever.


Stockholm Half Marathon attracts participants from all over the world. 63 countries are represented in this year’s race. 2,245 runners come from outside Sweden. After Sweden, the most runners come from Finland (376 runners), Germany (301), Great Britain (237) and Norway (156).Here are all countries represented in the half marathon:Argentina, Australia, Austria, Bangladesh, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Catalonia, Chile, China, Croatia, Cuba, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Ghana, Great Britain, Greece, Hungary, India, Iran, Ireland, Island, Israel, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, Jordan, Kenya, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Malaysia, Morocco, Mauritius, Mexico, Netherlands, Nigeria, Norway, New Zeeland, Pakistan, Panama, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Rumania, Russia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey, Ukraine, USA and Venezuela.
